Volunteers play a vital role in helping us make the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia a great experience for visitors. This strong community of individuals makes a difference by donating their time, energy, and expertise. We welcome all those interested in helping us to increase our capacity through the programs and services that we offer to consider joining our valued team of volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Gallery Guide (Tours)
- Studio Assistant (Kids Night Out, March Break art camps, Summer School of the Arts, PD day camps) *requires a criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Visitor Experience (Gallery Shop, Welcome Desk)

Due to changes in the Gallery's operations and precautionary measures introduced to help curb the spread of COVID-19, volunteer roles and training are limited. We welcome applicants to submit the online form and resume during this time, but please note that we will contact applicants only when we are able to fulfill positions.
In order to volunteer at the Gallery you must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
