Teichert Gallery offers a rental program to Art Gallery of Nova Scotia members. Renting art is an affordable way to enhance your home or office and enjoy experimenting with different styles and mediums without the long-term commitment.
Run by the Art Sales and Rental Society, Teichert Gallery has an extensive selection of over 1,000 pieces from more than 200 Atlantic Canadian artists. Located beside the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Teichert Gallery is open seven days a week.

Our program allows you to rent artwork on a monthly commitment basis for up to 6 months. At the end of the 6-month rental period, you can purchase the work or return it. Should you decide to purchase the piece, up to six months of the rental paid is applied to the sale price.
Renting art for your business is a unique way to engage your clients, reward your employees, and support your community. For our corporate clients we offer a rental period of 12 months. Delivery and installation services are available for an additional charge. Rental fees are considered a tax-deductible expense.

About the Art Sales and Rental Society
The Art Sales and Rental Society was founded in 1976 as a not-for-profit organization to benefit the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia's acquisition fund and promote Atlantic Canadian artists by offering quality art to the public. The Art Sales and Rental Society is governed by volunteers.
Volunteer with Us
An Executive Director and part time staff provide the day-to-day operation in the Gallery with volunteers working Monday through Friday from mid September until mid June. Volunteers generally work one shift, either 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM or an afternoon shift of 1:30 PM until 5:00 PM. The volunteer commitment is from mid September until mid June.
Duties include assisting clients in making their selection of art for their home or office, accepting work from artists, assisting with transactions, maintaining the collection and any other work as directed by the Executive Director. As our files and transactions are computerized, a comfortable knowledge of computers is desirable, although training will be provided.
