Within walking distance from the historic Halifax waterfront, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Halifax offers a unique environment for a meeting, seminar, presentation, or reception.
Windsor Foundation Lecture Theatre
Accommodates 80 people in its fixed theatre seating. This space is perfect for your next panel discussions, lectures, presentations, and some performances and is available during and outside of public opening hours.
- $175 (up to 4 hours)
Accommodates up to 28 people in an Open-U or Classroom style layouts. This space is suitable for round-table meetings, training sessions, presentations, and lectures and is available during and outside of public opening hours.
Catering is permitted in this space.

Exhibition Spaces & Lobby
Exhibition spaces bring a unique atmosphere to any special event, reception, or gathering. Exhibition spaces are most suitable for stand-up receptions, however, catering is not permitted. Any event requiring food and drink would need to use the Lobby space with the add-on of unique experiences in exhibition spaces. The Lobby can accommodate up to 50 guests for a standing reception. Exhibition capacity varies. Exhibition and Lobby spaces are only available outside of public opening hours.

The Gallery offers a range of static and mobile AV solutions. Please indicate AV requirements during the inquiring process and note that wifi is not available. The Gallery may also be able to provide other equipment such as tables, chairs, tablecloths, easels and sign holders.
Security fees and/or additional staffing fees may apply if the space is required outside of public opening hours. AV equipment and clean-up fees may also apply.
Space is subject to availability and a signed rental agreement is required prior to the event. A cancellation fee will apply with less than 72 hours (3 business days) notice.
