The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is committed to providing high quality art programs for young children. We welcome opportunities to work with and support the early childhood education community through special exhibitions, resource development, and workshops for educators, parents, and caregivers. Engagement in the arts enhances the development of self-expression, imagination, and inquiry.
Daycare and Pre-School Program: Red, Yellow, Blue, and You
This is a Gallery tour program designed for daycare and pre-school groups with children ages 3 to 5.
Children explore the visual arts in an interactive tour in the Gallery followed by a related art making activity in the Young Learners' Studio. IIlustrated storybooks, puppets, and specially designed hands-on materials are used to engage children as they discover more about themselves and their world. Repeat visits are encouraged.
