Art Trips & Tours
The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia organizes 3 unique art trips each year to exciting local and international destinations. Travelers can expect an unforgettable experience in the company of fellow art enthusiasts.
- North American Tour – offered each fall with a focus on local art and art galleries.
- European Tour – offered each spring. The trips to Europe combine culture, history, and samplings of the natural sights and cuisine of a particular region.
- Local Tour – offered annually in June, this day trip is a great opportunity to visit artists’ studios and galleries in Nova Scotia.
Hear What Past Participants have to Say:
"…Highlights included the Prado, the Guggenheim Bilbao, the Dali museum in Figueres, and the incredible Sagrada Familia church by Gaudi in Barcelona, plus a chance to see some of the beautiful Spanish countryside as we travelled between cities. Tapas galore, a flamenco performance, and some great dinners completed a wonderful Spanish experience."
-Ann Cameron, participant in the Spain Art Tour (April 21-May 1, 2017)
"...As we watched the stunning sunset over beautiful Havana Bay on our final evening together, we bid Adios to Havana, but the memories linger on."-Sue Rubin, participant in the Havana Art Experience (March 30 - April 6 2016)
"...Visiting the studios and, in some cases, the homes of contemporary artists (from a medieval tower to a stunning Roman palazzo) with the wonderful Caroline Soderkamp, who guided our recent tours to New York and Chicago, along with her colleague Ketty Teerling, made this trip unforgettable."-Ann Cameron, participant of the Art Tour in Italy (October 2015)
