The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia delivers a range of programs which invite people of diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities to engage with art. The Permanent Collection and special exhibitions provide the framework for programs with the goal to make art accessible for all people.
We encourage the exchange of ideas and multiple perspectives through a range of tours from the daily Gallery tours with specially trained Guides to interactive talks between artists and curators in specific exhibitions. In addition, film screenings, gallery-wide evenings filled with music, dance, and art making, the Children’s Festival, Sketching in the Gallery, and exploratory open studios for families are just a few of the ways you can experience the Gallery.
The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia provides a place in the community to learn new things, challenge assumptions, and to enhance and give value to one’s curiosity, imagination, and sense of discovery.
